UnclogCo

How a drain visit works, from first call to clear water

No vague arrival windows, no quotes that change halfway through, no mess left behind. Here is exactly what happens when you book UnclogCo.

1

You get in touch

Call our dispatch desk or send the request form. We ask a few quick questions: which fixtures are affected, how long it has been going on, whether water is rising anywhere, and what kind of building it is. If you can, send a photo of the problem area. This helps us send the right technician with the right equipment the first time.

2

We confirm a time and what to expect

We call back to agree a time slot that suits you and explain what the visit is likely to involve. For straightforward jobs we can usually give you a price range at this point. For anything that needs a closer look, we tell you that the fixed price will come after diagnosis, so there are no surprises.

3

The technician arrives and protects the area

You get a call when the technician is on the way. On arrival they introduce themselves, ask you to show them the problem, and put down protective sheets around the work area. Shoe covers go on indoors. Tools stay on the sheets, not on your floor or worktops.

4

We find the cause and give you a fixed price

The technician locates the blockage, checks whether it is local or further down the line, and explains what they have found. You then get a fixed price for the work. Nothing starts until you say yes. If you would like to think it over, there is no pressure, and you only pay the diagnosis charge agreed when booking.

5

We clear, clean or inspect the drain

The work is carried out with the method we agreed, whether that is a hand auger, a motorised cable, jetting, a camera survey or a grease trap clean. If something unexpected turns up, such as a damaged pipe section, we stop and talk to you before doing anything beyond the agreed scope.

6

We test, tidy up and explain

Every affected outlet is run and checked. We show you what came out of the drain, tell you what caused it and give you practical advice to keep it clear. The area is cleaned, sheets are lifted and waste is taken away with us.

7

You get a written summary

After the visit you receive a short summary of what we found, what we did and what we recommend next, if anything. For camera inspections this includes the recording and still images. If the same blockage returns within the period set out in our refund and cancellation policy, call us and we will come back to look at it.

Paying for the work

The price you approve on site is the price you pay. We accept cash, mobile payments and bank transfer, and you receive a receipt with your summary. Commercial customers on a schedule can be invoiced monthly.

After we leave

Run the drain normally and keep an eye on it for a few days. If you notice slow draining, gurgling or smells coming back, call us. Early reports are easier to deal with, and you will speak to someone who can see the notes from your visit.
